The Counseling Services Division offers a wide range of treatments
to a diverse client population. Individuals, including children,
adolescents and adults, as well as families, benefit from the
psychotherapeutic services provided by Comprehensive Behavioral
Healthcare, Inc.
Access Center
The Access Center is the point of entry for all Comprehensive
Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. clients. Access Center clinicians are
available for complete diagnostic evaluations. When indicated, a
psychiatric evaluation is arranged by the clinician with one of our
Board-certified psychiatrists. If medication is indicated, the
psychiatrist provides ongoing medication monitoring and psychiatric
support.
Emergency services and crisis intervention are also provided through
the Access Center. If clients are experiencing a crisis, an emergency
session will be arranged so that the crisis may be alleviated. The
Access Center is staffed by licensed professionals who are available
from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m.
until 4 p.m. on Friday.
Short Term Therapy
After the initial assessment, clients begin working on their treatment
goals with their therapist during regularly scheduled appointments.
Comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare, Inc.'s focus on specialized
short term treatment allows clients to gain maximum benefits from
therapeutic intervention in a short period of time. All therapists in each
of our locations are licensed in the fields of social work or psychology.
Specialized Services
Comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. offers outpatient drug and
alcohol abuse services. Specially trained clinicians assist clients in
addressing the problems of addiction in individual or group settings.
Because many clients benefit from sharing experiences with their
peers, Comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. offers a variety of
specialized group therapies. A sampling of our groups include:
Medication Education groups, Women's Issues groups, Parenting
Groups and Eating Disorder Groups.
Our credentialed professionals are also available for marital and
family counseling. In times of marital or family stress, it is reassuring
for clients to know that a caring therapist is available to see them
through a difficult time.
PATH (Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness)
An innovative program offered through Comprehensive Behavioral
Healthcare, Inc.'s Counseling Services Division is the PATH Program.
This intensive case management service provides mobile outreach
services to the psychiatrically disabled living in the community. This
program is designed to reach out to mentally ill clients who are
homeless or at risk of being homeless, and have not accepted
traditional center-based mental health services. This service includes
supportive services, advocacy, housing assistance, mental health,
substance abuse services and transportation. Each counselor
functions as part of a team, and all clients interact with all members of
the team. |
